Resume
As you know, due to being sick I have not been able to participate in many activities, along with not being as active in them as I would have liked to in the past three years of high school. Even though being ill has stopped me from doing much outside of school, I am happy for the things I’ve been able to do.
POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) has unfortunately consumed a lot of my high school life, but although I have missed over 200 days of school since 9th grade, I have still managed to keep my grades up and am due to graduate with my brothers and rest of my class.

According to MayoClinic.org, orthostatic hypotension can be diagnosed in multiple ways. To begin with, the physician who is diagnosing will begin with monitoring blood pressure. The blood pressure of the patient will be taken when they are resting(sitting), and then when they are standing. If there is a drop of 20 mm Hg in the systolic blood pressure or a decrease of 10 mm Hg in the diastolic blood pressure within two to five minutes of standing up, that is an indicator of orthostatic hypotension (MayoClinic.org). MayoClinic.org also states that another way that a physician could potentially diagnose orthostatic hypotension is by running blood tests to ensure that a patient does not have low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), or anemia.…
