The researchers analyzed the data using intention-to-treat (ITT) analysis. Since 5 participants withdrew from the study after randomization, ITT analysis was used in order to reduce bias. To analyze the change in knowledge scores between the pre and post-test of the two groups (control and intervention), a paired T-Test was utilized. A survey of the participant’s characteristics such as age, number of birth assists, workplace, and educational background was also performed and showed no differences that could have impacted the outcome.
