Research is more than a collection of information from a source. Research must project “subjective processes, social relations, and artifacts (including research instruments and methods) enable researchers to objectively comprehend phenomena” (Ratner, 2002). However, the postmodernist contention that the process, relations, and artifacts interfere with objectivity (Ratner, 2002).
