Reason and faith
There are some clear differences between postmodernists and Christians. For example, the postmodern societies divide reason and faith from each other. Modernism seeks knowledge on the basis of human reason and investigation alone; you can work from a neutral starting-point and build upwards to truth. Accepting anything on trust is unnecessary and irrational. This is because they believe that there is a rational reason for things occurring, with scientific backing. Reasoning is described as the science provide accurate, objective, reliable foundation of “knowledge”. Postmodernists may seek to answer fundamental questions, such as “how the earth was created” through rational answers, which are backed by scientific evidence. Naturalism is the "idea or belief that only natural (as opposed to supernatural or spiritual; God) laws and forces operate in the world." This correlates to Evolution describes a mechanism by which living organisms change and differentiates over time. That process says nothing about where the first living organism came from, the notion that it arose from non-living processes is abiogenesis, something creationists frequently confuse with evolution. This theory which has been scientifically investigated for centuries with findings of fossils, DNA research, etc. Typically, evolutionary biologists like to point out the differences in species as they branch away from common ancestors, but they also like to identify those characteristics that remain common to both. This serves the dual purpose of showing evolution-in-action, while also demonstrating the subtle ways in which speciation can occur.
