Society sees the news, like as fast as a wildfire spreads in a forest of dead dry trees. A scene that brings up this issue, is when Simon says that, “the war is unforeseeable.” It shows that the invention of the radio, and television lets people see the new right when it is reported. This issue is a bad one for Simon. A disadvantage that it causes has to do with the vote on whether, or not to invade the Middle East. Since, the creation of technology it allowed for the media to get a hold of Liza’s paper, which they wouldn’t have been able to do otherwise. This causes a problem, Malcom has to try, and get the vote changed three different time, so that the paper doesn’t influence the way the voters will vote.
