As the world evolves to create new technological advances, humans have learned to adapt to a new style of communication. This has lead to an influx of people who prefer the faster, more convenient means of communication, such as texting, instant messaging, e-mailing, etc. Consequently, innumerable amounts of people have found themselves unemployed involving the field of Postal Services until recently as job-cuts have been initiated. This culling the choice to renovate the United States Postal Service.The United States Postal Service (USPS) should be restructured because statistics show that the number of employees have been declining rapidly and also due to the fact that the value of sincere communication has become nonexistent in the current generation.

The United States Postal Service is undoubtedly is need of being restructured because the value of sincere communication has become non-existent in the current generation. A well respected source of higher ranking would agree with this. Kevin Cullen, from the commercial news, states that, “in this speed obsessed world, the the written letter has obtained a value all its own.” (Source E) This is irrefutably precise and is demonstrated by a large number of the current generation. Many people looking to communicate with a loved one or old friend would much rather quickly shoot them a “heart-felt” text message rather than a sincerely written letter. The value of these two forms of communication are almost incomparable“E-mail is fast and simple, but to me an old-fashioned letter has value in this speed-obsessed world.” (Source
