Established in 1890, Post University used to be a school to train students in bookkeeping, shorthand and typing. It started offering four-year degrees in 1976 in order to assist returning Vietnam veterans, offering programs with companies including Cigna and Johnson and Johnson shortly after. The university offers over 100 degree programs in total and has over 7,000 students in attendance.
Each of Post University’s 4 academic colleges, The Malcolm Balridge School of Business, The John P. Burke School of Public Service, The School of Education and The School of Arts and Sciences, are responsible for its online degree programs. Kennesaw State University is one of the largest universities in Georgia with a massive 384-acre university with over 30,000 students, 13 academic colleges and over 100 degree programs. In 2013, the university merged with Southern Polytechnic University to form the university here today. Among its alumni is Ty Pennington, the former host of ABC’s Extreme Home Makeover.
Kennesaw State University offers a plethora of online bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral and certificate programs. Online bachelor’s degrees include fashion design and geography. Master’s degree options include educational leadership and information technology. Doctoral degrees attainable online include teacher leadership. Certificate programs include digital and social media, as well as information security.
Resources available to online students include an online library with scholarly article database and live chat with a librarian, technical support, online tutoring, an online writing center and academic advising.
The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges provides accreditation for Kennesaw State
