Academically, I yearn to immerse myself into the field of nursing. When inquiring about Stockton to people who attend and were accepted into the program, I got nothing but positive feedback. From the great faculty who accommodate to the students’ needs and are passionate about what they do, to the advanced nursing facilities which allow for a broadened learning experience, I also believe going to Stockton will help me with my academic goals because of its perfect and convenient location. In my opinion, this is very important and will ensure each applicant is fully capable in professionally treating and caring for patients. With

As much as a post-high school education is important for obtaining a degree specific to a desired career, college itself is a learning experience. Beyond the classroom, there is a whole world out there, experiences to gain, and new people to meet. Because Stockton is a university that promotes diversity, I believe putting myself in this environment will help me understand the significance each person brings to this world and meet others who have similar morals. Befriending and socializing alongside different people with distinct personalities will nurture my personal growth and flourish as a student and

The U.S. healthcare system faces a looming problem of what could be a dire shortage of nursing staff available in the near future (American Association of Colleges of Nursing, 2014). The ability of our healthcare system to meet the needs of our maturing population, coupled with the vast amounts of retiring nurses, will require over one million new nurses needed by 2022 (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2013). The only solution to this crisis is to increase the number of successful nursing program graduates. Nevertheless, there are over 30% of eligible nursing program applicants not accepted each year, largely due to a lack of available nursing faculty and corresponding clinical location (National League for Nursing [NLN], 2016). Associate degree…

Transferring going into my sophomore year was one of the greatest decisions I could have made. Temple, being much closer to home as well as being my parents alma mater really made it feel like the right fit.…

As we make this transition, we need to recognize that change is a positive aspect of our lives and we have struggled through this before.…
