The Foundation year level description of the Australian curriculum uses a range of literary texts that brings together the voices of such peoples as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders as well as contemporary world texts, including those from and about Asia (Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority, 2016).
