After, analyzing my data of the post assessment for both, the large group and sub-group there was significant growth made. Even though some growth was lost in the subgroup with a few questions I was still please with the overall growth made. Both my large and sub-group remained the same for the pre and post assessment. The mean for the pre-assessment for the large group was 61.8%. After 10 days of instruction the mean of my large group on the post assessment was 91.8%. The mean for my large group increased by 30%. The mean for the pre-assessment of my sub-group was 22.5%. After 10 days of instruction the mean of sub group on the post assessment more than tripled. The mean on the post assessment for my sub-group was 72.5%. The mean for my …show more content…
In the large group all 14 students increased by 25 points. I had one student in my large group who started with a 40% on his pre-assessment and 50 points making his final score on the post assessment 90%. I had six students in my large group grow 25 points from pre-assessment to post assessment. I had four students in my large group grow 30 points from pre-assessment to post assessment. I had 3 students in my large group grow 35 points from pre-assessment to post assessment. When comparing the mean of individual growth between pre and post assessment to the growth of the mean of my large group between pre and post assessment both increased by 30%. In my sub-group all 4 students doubled their score. One student in my sub-group increased their score by 65 points. 100% accuracy is achieved when 4 out of 4 students answered a question correctly. Strength for my sub-group was being able to identify what tree represents fall. Identifying what tree represents fall align with the first learning goal of the assessment. Students in the sub-group were successful in matching the correct picture for stages 1, 2, and 6 in the life cycle of a pumpkin. Another strength for students in the sub-group was identifying that a pumpkin is orange after it is done growing.
