Most women are haunted with the fact they have taken the life of an innocent child. According to Britain's Royal College of Psychiatrists, 81 percent of women are more likely to experience mental health problems. This study shows how common post-abortion mental health problems are.The most common mental health issues reported were having suicidal thoughts, mood disorders, social anxiety disorders,, and alcohol abuse. Canadian Journal of Psychiatry performed a research study on 3,000 women in the United States. From the study they saw that out of all the women 59 percent had suicidal thoughts, 61 percent experienced mood disorders, 61 percent had social anxiety disorders, 26 percent experienced alcohol abuse, and 28 percent experienced other mental issues. This study reveals that these women strongly regret their decisions and can eventually lead to developing a mental illness. There are a lot of non profit organizations in the United States that are designed specifically to help out single mothers. For instance, the top five organizations that are designed to help mothers and their kids are; One Harvest, Feeding America, Global Fund for Women, Head Start, and Future Without Violence.
