The ‘pay-for-performance’ term is meant to enhance efficiency, value, and quality in the overall market. I think that healthcare providers should have incentives based on the quality of care they provide, because generally, incentives motivate people to achieve higher and produce good results. Ways to reward providers are, physician quality reporting and Medicare advantage plan bonuses.
