Seuss does a wonderful job explaining both of them and showing both sides of the story. Like in the Cat in the Hat, the pet fish is a very good symbol of positive overwhelming order because he is always trying to get Sally and Conrad to do the right thing, always telling them that is is wrong, that their mother would be very mad. Also going along the lines of overwhelming order, at the beginning Sally is very much like this. In the movie, they show that Sally getting mad at Conrad for always destroying the house and always messing things up, especially because their mom wants the house clean by her party that night. Eventually towards the end she develops a small balance between the both and she has fun, considering a mild case of chaos for a short period of time, until everything goes wrong and she goes back to being an overwhelming conflict of order. On the other hand, the Cat in the Hat is a very strong character playing the role of strong overwhelming chaos. While he just shows up in the middle of the day without thinking about what could happen, showing up with all this chaos like baking and making a mess, breaking almost everything in the house and spraying purple goo everywhere, he doesn‘t bother to help for most of the time. He doesn‘t take much responsibility because all he wanted was the kids to have fun. At the beginning of the movie, Conrad is just the same. All of the overwhelming chaos becomes extreme that both of the kids get grounded while the mom gets ready for he party while at work. No matter what he tries so hard to become a fun person, even when the Cat in the Hat shows up he goes along, until everything gets wrong and he eventually learns that sometimes chaos has a certain extent and gets mad at the Cat in the Hat, and helps Sally clean up until the Cat in the Hat shows up to help them out. Both kids are a perfect balance between order and chaos. Dr. Seuss shows that the balance between both will help people grow as

However, this is not the case, for both possess the same message of "do not keep the truth from children. " Where they begin to differ again is through their method of reaching to the same conclusion. Even though it has been mentioned several times already, "A Barred Owl" involves a parent teaching their child that they should not be afraid of noises they hear at night, and Wilbur has the parent possess a very forthright tone. In order to help show that the parent is being serious in what they say, Wilbur utilizes imagery when saying "or dreaming of some small thing in a claw borne up to some dark branch and eaten raw" which demonstrates the use of honesty from the parent. Moving along to "The History Teacher," Collins purposefully uses overstatement, understatement, and irony in multiple places to essentially show what not to do and therefore preach the same message of "do not keep the truth from children.…

On its surface, the story itself is a rather disturbing murder-mystery about a woman who is believed to have murdered her husband.…
