Positive Influence on WCHS
While attending WCHS I have tried to make a positive impact on not only my peers, but the facility as well, whether it's a simple good morning or a smile while walking down the hall.
I have tried to obtain leadership roles in various extracurricular activities throughout my high school career to help make a bigger impact on kids life's. I love to lead and be apart of something that is positive, for example being apart of FFA has shown me how far a simple ten cans of food can do. Simple things can turn around someone's day, FFA donates can goods, also dog and cat food to local animal shelters. I know when I donate and see the impact it has it makes me feel like a better person, the feeling is indescribable. In sports

One in five veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars are diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. One of the best remedies for veterans who suffer from PTSD is animal therapy. For my sixteenth birthday party, I asked that my guest bring donations or animal supplies, instead of birthday gifts to donate to the A.N.N.A. Shelter in Erie that supports Pets for Vets. The A.N.N.A. Shelter works with Pets for Vets in order to pair animals with service members who have PTSD. At Xavier University we believe in the “All for One and One for All” philosophy; showing that camaraderie and equality among all are still possible. One way Xavier lives up to its support for students is through the one-year long Smooth Transition mentoring program. I served as a smooth transition mentor to three incoming first-year students during the 2016-2017 academic year. We as a family host this deer camp for disabled people ranging from ages anywhere from ten to fifty, some being veterans and some being young people. We do this every year on opening day of rifle season. As we are hosting this hunting camp, we are paying it forward to disabled people giving them an awesome hunting experience, home cooked meals, and a chance to make amazing memories. To extend our ability to pay it forward, we donate half of the meat from the deer they shoot to a local market for other people to benefit from, along with getting the deer mounted for our new hunting friend.…

Looking at my poster, there is a variety of objects that appear to have nothing in common. What they do have in common is me. Brainstorming for this project was difficult because I thought there would be no way that a poster could summarize my life. But, as I was putting the poster together, I realized it wasn’t very hard to condense me as a person to a sheet of paper with objects on it. I chose objects that have to do with things i’m involved in or that represent who I am.…
