Conflict resolution includes five steps to be effective, first: define the problem for the child; hitting others is wrong and it hurts them. Second: invite the child to participate in solving the problem; the teacher and the mother should make sure that Sakai understands that he is doing something wrong, and then ask him how we can solve this problem, how can we play nicely and friendly. I have always been interested in learning and using new ideas. Throughout my life, I have invariably drawn from my life experiences, newly learned ideas and my continuing education to help problem-solve sensibly and realistically allowing me to move forward or help others reach their goals. Although I have no formal teaching experience, in my past work and involvement in organized sports, I have repeatedly used the Progressive philosophy. When dealing with 13 & 14 year olds many situations arise such as bullying, personality clashes or simply not understanding a drill or play. I deal with these situations by asking questions to stimulate a discussion, allowing them to draw on past experiences; positive or negative, consequently allowing them to come up with a solution or grasp the knowledge they are seeking.…

Pro-active guidance is a preventing strategy that helps both teachers and students. Pro-active guidance can be seen when teachers anticipate possible problems and make changes before things go bad. For example, something that you might want to change is a classroom that is empty on one half of the classroom. We always tell children not to run inside and to use their walking feet. However, if you have a classroom with a huge empty space where they are able to run inside, then you are kind of allowing them to do what you don’t want.…

The method I would use to redirect a child that is constantly hitting other child will be; I will start of by talking to the child first and see if the child is available to solve the problem own its own, by not hitting anybody. So, he can learn how to solve problems on his own instead of always needing an adult. But, if nothing changes and if the aggression behavior continuous then I will offer the child choices, for example I give him a choose of being the first on to line up the door for a whole week since he enjoys being the first in line or that he could be the lunch helper for several days, since helping during meal times is one of the things he will do every day with no complains. Since, offering the child choices that he enjoys doing…

Discipline will help improve a child’s behavior so he or she will not make the same mistake in the future. To make a child fully understand what he or she did incorrect, parents should make eye to eye contact and explain to the child why his or her actions were incorrect. Step 2:…

The two articles chosen for this, my final paper in this class, are from the CSU library Academic One File and are, “The influence of conflict management culture on job satisfaction” written by Choi (2013) and “Conflict management checklist: a diagnostic tool for assessing conflict in organizations.
