Imagine a future where you can enter a world where you are the main character and where you are the controller. Imagine if you could play a game by being directly inside of it, where you are the one moving the body not just watching through a screen and moving your fingers. It would be like an alternate world where you can enter at will. This is the direction videogames might be heading and even though it’s in a far future it still might happen, but as awesome at that sounds videogames aren’t as perfect and utopian as they seem. For as long as game have existed they have received a lot of arguments against them but one of the most popular one is that games make you violent. There has been many research to try to study it if it was true or not and all them conclude in the same statement video games don’t make you violent, or rather it depends in the person. There are a lot of games and most are violent but most of players are not focused on it, they are more focused in solving the problems. Although there is some people that exclusively play violent games but as Yvonne Zipp mentions “However, Kutner and Olson are careful to point out that their study does not prove causality: It may be that more aggressive children are drawn to more violent games, and not that the games themselves are to blame. Researchers just don't know yet” (10). And in most cases these are the type people who usually play them to vent out their anger. Although there are some cases where people tend to become I bit more violent, but most those people usually aren’t the most mentally stable, like Blackwell mentions, most people that end like this are usually people who have suffered from some type of
