Although many say that the industrial had a positive impact to the world generally, there were many negative and positive effects as a result of the industrial revolution.
As the textile industry was growing, it had a major contribution to the Britain's economic stance. Oxford university states that "One of the key factors that led to the industrial revolution in Britain was its authority and wealth as an empire (12)." As stated, Britain did have a lot of support from its dominated nations and colonies in the lead to the industrial revolution. Whilst Britain was already a wealthy empire, the economic stance only expanded further. As the machineries were introduced in the textile industry, the clothes were weaved and spun faster, allowing people to buy them. Soon, the demand of clothes were enforced, allowing Britain to be stable as a government and economically. They worked from morning till night, receiving little pay just enough make their living. Unfortunately, as the industrial revolution reached its later stages, the workers within the textile industry suffered. Many workers were fired and not needed as the inventions were able to do the job much quicker with better quality products. Due to this effect, many families were not able to afford the living, leading to deaths. Also many of the inventors suffered as well. As people lost their job, the inventors such as John Kay who invented the flying shuttle was accused for taking people's jobs and targeted (13).
