Reality stars are becoming role models to teens rather than their own peers or parent, is totally absurd to me. “TV can easily take the place of a parent, teaching their kids the ‘acceptable’ ways of society” (Skeen). When parents are too busy for their child, they are more than likely to look up to someone else. Usually this someone else turns out to be someone from a television program and they may also look up at these shows for their way of doing their things. Self-esteem plays a big role on this. Some of us cannot take so much perfection, as we tend to think these stars are. Most people, including myself get all wrapped up in these shows. Either to pass some time or in some cases actually ty to relate to some of the characters you see. I do not have a doubt that reality television will be popular for who knows how much long. While having negative effects on us, most think that it does have some positivity. If only the network would put on educational reality shows, showing to other countries that we are not as ignorant as we might seem. A lot ties in to reality shows. I just hope we all decided what is best of us and our families when it comes to picking our next Tuesday night
