I think that the CRTC has a one of the biggest effects on media especially in Canada. The CRTC (Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications) is an independent group that regulates the use of American Tv show and movies in Canada, they make sure that the Canadian cable companies show more Canadian Tv shows and movies than American shows. This has a positive impact in Canada, it keeps our cultures and languages going, if we didn't have the CRTC we would probably all be watching American everything. The CRTC can help minority groups for example the indigenous, they have networks and Tv shows on cable like APTN to help revitalize the culture and also keep it going.
