Positive Change Analysis

I am still going through college right now, so I have not had the opportunity to enable my own students yet. I have enabled some of my friends to make a change in their lives though. One good example was I a friend of mine who did not know where their life was headed and they thought they had no power to change the direction they were going. They thought they were powerless in their own life choices and path. I helped them to realize that they have all the power of how they will take on each situation in their life and that even if something does not go the way they were expecting they have all the power to change it and look at it from a positive angle. This friend is doing tremendously better; they have taken they power away from the world and started to make the changes in their life to bring it to where they want it to be. …show more content…
I would like to work on my empowering skills by allowing the person who needs to be empowered to come to the realization and solution mainly on their own. I would be there more for support and they would have even more power from crating the change for themselves. It is important to allow them to feel more confident and take control of their own life, this will create positive change. Overall, I feel that I still have a few important tools to learn before I begin to empower the younger generation when I start in a school setting. Empowering friends is a good start, although it will be different when it is for young children in a classroom or school
