You made some very important points and analogies regarding positive behavior supports. I have to agree with you that a teacher will need to accept topics when offering alternative or various topics. In my current Spanish class, I include various topics for my students to choice from when they are working on projects because if I only offered one type of topic, several of my student’s performance levels would decrease and resulting in behavioral issues within the classroom because I do have several students who are ADHD, autistic, gifted, and low functioning.
