“Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you’ll start having positive results.”-Willie Nelson. What he is saying is that when you having a positive attitude in a conflict the way it ends is in a positive way. Some examples of people that have done this is are the story of Miss Breed and Anne Frank. Both of these have shown how their positive attitudes and had better effects than others with negative attitudes. So I believe having a positive attitude during conflict helps with the conflict and makes it turn out better than when you have a negative one.

The first way I will show how having a positive attitude helps people is with the example of Miss Breed as she reads letters from Japanese Americans who were in at the relocation center. She showed how that attitude helps throughout conflicts in many different ways throughout the story.

Some could say having this attitude could prepare you, better for something bad to come out of the conflict. For example, if you had a positive attitude and it resulted in a bad effect you wouldn’t be ready for something like that to happen. But if you were to have more of a negative attitude in the same conflict and something bad happened from it you would be more prepared or ready to handle something like that. So others could say that a negative attitude helps for that reason.

To summarize, having a positive attitude in a conflict is a good choice because it results in positive ways. Also that has been shown through some stories such as Miss Breed and Anne Frank. Who both went through harsh conflicts, but kept through it with positive attitudes and had positive results. Also, some people believe that a negative attitude could help better than a positive one for other reasons. In the end, keeping a positive attitude will make the conflict lead to more positive

In Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl — a series of journal entries that Anne Frank wrote while she and her family were hiding from the Nazi regime — Anne attempts to have a positive attitude no matter what the circumstances. She fought for her own life and for her loved ones’ lives, and her mental strength is one reason why she made it as long as she did. If she hadn’t looked on the bright side, despite her bleak situation, she would've never had the faith or will to survive.…
