Having said what courses to eliminate, there are numerous positive and negative effects that it may bring. As a matter of fact, there will be some factors that will be affected in a positive or in a negative way if the total units of the MT program will be lowered. The ICLS, other colleges of SU, and the students are the three main factors that will be affected. The first factor that will be affected by lowering the total units of the MT program is the ICLS. According to the survey conducted by the researchers, ICLS will be affected in terms of the number of enrollees, and the recognition of the institute which is the Center of Development. College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) will be the most affected college when the total units will be lowered. With this regard, professors ' effectiveness in teaching may affect the students learning when the total units of the curriculum will be lowered. Since there will be some courses that will be eliminated, the other colleges will be under loaded which will cause lesser enrollees in their college. Yet, in terms of the teaching of the professors, they will be more effective because they will only teach in a small group of students where they can interact with everyone. And in the survey conducted by the researchers, 60% of the respondents agreed that professors can teach more effectively with less students. Moreover, the buget of the other colleges in SU will be affected if there will be some courses that will be eliminated. In the interview that has been done by the researchers with Prof. Reuben J C. Los Baños, the students will greatly benefit from it if the units will be lowered (personal communication, April 27, 2016). For instance, the students will have more free time and they will not have night classes anymore if there will be some courses that will be eliminated from the program. The lesser the units, the more time for the students to study other subjects that are related in their course and focus on their major. As you can see, students from this program are somewhat deprived from enough rest because of the number of units that they must comply.
