Designer babies Knowledge is power of a person that always comes with ideas or information for positive or negative. What is Designer Babies? “Designer Babies whose genetic makeup has been selected in order to eradicate a particular defect, or to ensure that a particular gene is present” (Oxford dictionary). The intelligence of science that has power of human to choose the sex, hair color, and even character of their children, and to create wonderful human’s that seem perfect. “Scientific knowledge of the human genome and our increasing ability to modify and change genes this scenario of "designing" your baby could be possible in the near future” (CNN). On our society that Designer babies is against Allah (god) because the religious perspective humans and children are a gift from God to human and Allah (god) has created human in perfect shapes and perfect look. Scientists who try to create or alter life are attempting to replace god’s creation. This is a great sin in Islam. "God is the only one who can make the child - rich or poor, long life, short life, good or bad”( Religious community divided over 'designer babies ') . That is mean we do not have the right to select the baby, as we want. According to Muslim and Christian religions they both believe God can alter the genetic makeup of a person due to the sanctity of life.”Only God has the right to interfere with our genes” (Designer Babies). According to this fact Allah (God) is the only one that has the right to create the perfect human. Also, God know what is better for each person. In addition, (Allah) could cause any problems whenever someone tries to replace wrong things to hurt himself or herself because our body is not for us to harm them, they are belong to (Allah) God.
