Do you ever wonder what it feels like to be swallowed whole? Poseidon found out. This god went through a lot of trauma as a child. Poseidon god of the sea is also known for his weapon, his symbols, and his origin.

Poseidon's weapon is a trident, Poseidon's trident was used to create water sources in Greece and the horse. Poseidon as well as being god of the sea, was also known as the "Earth Shaker" because when he struck the earth in anger he caused mighty earthquakes and he used his trident to stir up tidal waves, tsunamis and sea storms.

Poseidon's symbols are the Horse, Trident, Bull, and Dolphin. Poseidon was considered to be a god of horses. The title Hippies (”Lord of Horses”) reflects this role, and there are several myths in which the god appeared in the guise of a horse. One of his other symbols is the trident and This

Poseidon was the god of the sea, earthquakes and horses. Although he was officially one of the supreme gods of Mount Olympus, he spent most of his time in his home the water. Poseidon siblings were Zeus and Hades. These three divided up the world. Zeus became ruler of the sky, Hades got to be the ruler of the Underworld and Poseidon was given all water, both fresh and salt because he wanted the most land to rule so zeus being smart gave him the water because the water takes up the most land out of everything. Although there were various rivers personified as gods, these would have been technically under Poseidon's ruleling. Similarly, Nereus, the Old Man of the Sea, wasn't really considered a friend of Poseidon's, who was known to drive his chariot through the waves in poseidon's home the ocean.
