Poseidon is a greek god ,First of all his roman name is Neptune and he is the god of the sea. Also he is usually found in water domains inside myths. He has the powers to control the ocean,create storms,clear bad weather,and create earthquakes.

Poseidon's mother and father is Rhea and Cronus and his wife is Amphitrite. Poseidon's brothers and sisters are Hades,Demeter,Hestia,Hera,and Zeus. Poseidon's children are Theseus,Triton,Polyphemus Belus,Agenor,Neleus,and Atlas.

Poseidon was born then eaten by cronus because he didn't want to be overpowered. He spent most of his childhood in his Dad's belly cronus. But rhea hid one child child,zeus, from cronus and forced cronus to regurgitate poseidon and the others. The world

Also he as a trident that's his weapons and his sacred animals are fish,dolphins,horse, and bull. He also is mostly seen in the water domain because he is the god of the sea.

The aeginetarum feriae is a feast that honors poseidon which lasts sixteen days. During the festival, the celebrants took their meal alone without the attendance of the slaves. The festival was a kind of memorial which kept its roots from the time of the Trojan War.

There once came a time in Ancient Greece when the first king of Athens, Cecrops, who was half person and half snake, had to find a patron deity for the city state of Athens. The two Olympian gods who were particularly interested in the patronage were Poseidon, the god of the Seas and Athena, the goddess of Wisdom and Skill. They presented themselves in front of Cecrops and Cecrops asked from them to offer a gift truly valuable for Athens.Poseidon came first: he struck the earth powerfully and created a well with his trident.
