It was surprising to me that fifty years ago, women were stereotyped so heavily and that it was accepted in the society. They made the stereotype of a woman working in a business so strong that it seems unrealistic and just irritating to watch. It was strange to see women portray as being stupid and incompetent at their job or even accepting to roles they had in their life. It bothered me that a fast food restaurant would have a woman in a bikini at a beach just eat a burger, but in a sexual way. Objectification of women took part in the commercial just to attract men. A commercial going all the way from 1962 was so sexist and just implying that all women enjoy cooking and that was their most favorite thing to do after working at their job. A quote in the commercial said "Every women needs to be herself at times. Your answer baking.” bothers me because I wouldn’t think that all women share that same opinion, some could feel like a woman when they’re running a multimillion company. The commercial for laundry just gets annoying to me because they’re over exaggerating doing laundry and making it seem like it’s a war that women have with their family’s dirty laundry. One commercial exposed the privileges that men have in society compared to women and I thought that commercial was amazing. It was telling the truth on how men are more privileged than a woman in society and they each have a different label on their status: a male boss is called a boss while a woman is who is a boss is considered bossy. Not all of the commercials are sexist and bad, some commercials should women that they are so much stronger than people depict them to be and I support those commercials. In the commercial “Blood”, the women are amazing by breaking the gender roles of being a woman by doing an activity that involves with pain and blood. They shed blood and they continue to
