One day in port Huron a new boy moved in.
He moved in right across the street from where I live. I was curious so I went to go meet him. I walked across the street and introduced myself.
After I introduced myself he said his name was thomas edison. Than I asked him if he wanted to be my friend.Thomas said he would.
The next day I walked over there and I saw him playing with chemicals.
I asked him what he was doing and he said’’i'm just mixing these chemicals together’’.

Today he was wearing these raggedy clothes.
He said he was wearing these clothes because he didn't want to get the chemicals on his nicer clothes. He wanted me to mix the chemicals with him.I said ‘’no thanks’’ than left.
Later that day I was wondering why he was mixing chemicals.

These questions come at a very interesting time for be in my UT development – I both met my host teacher today, and I have been working in Gilmor elementary (where I have been placed) during the summer placement. The conversation with my host teacher was pretty neutral. The setting of the meeting was not altogether the greatest. I was in the unair-conditioned cafeteria eating lunch with my students when I was introduced (AMBUSHED) by the site coordinator to my host teacher for the year. The conversation was actually pretty short, and included a pretty neutral interaction – it was neither overly positive or overly negative.…

In my last few weeks at Harpers Ferry, a man in his mid-fifties walked into the Provost Marshal’s office. He was a big man, maybe six foot four. Bald, overweight, wearing a red polo shit and sagging cargo pants with sunglasses pressed into his forehead. I was already talking to a family from the Carolinas interpreting the experiences of the town’s citizens after the war, when across the former slave states Provost Marshals were replaced by agents of the newly formed Freedman’s Bureau. They were good visitors, they asked excellent questions.…

Twas the night after my first World History class. The overview of what was to come was still fresh in my mind. The roaring battles between nobles and their families, the whimsical and almost ludicrous arguments that started wars, all the "fork on the left" mentalities that set my interest ablaze. The eloquent and quixotic feel that seems to be absent in my generation all led me to one conclusion. I want to be a modern day Renaissance man.…
