While ages range in down east Maine, the aggregate group was the elderly. The ages of the people in this group are more susceptible to illness and injury and are more likely to need stable health care for chronic disease. Relating to their biophysical determinants, this specific group of people of which many are ill, are more likely to develop other problems due to their compromised health.
Psychological: Psychological determinants of health are comprised of both internal and external psychological environments (Clark, 2015). Many in down east face depression due to the hard lives many of them have lived. There is a lot of stressors they face such as finding and maintaing work year round, financial stability and poor health.
