Population control or no population control? This is an argument that is now being brought to our attention worldwide. Yes, there are problems with each choice, but one could say that population control takes away everyone’s God-given right to reproduce. As humans, everyone must take in consideration the belief of others. While it is true that our world is being overpopulated, polluted, and being struck by crime, everyone must remember the freedom all humans deserve to have. There will be problems no matter which decision is made, but giving humans their freedom to reproduce should be a priority. In every religion there is something great about birth or reincarnation, so taking birth away from religious followers is taking away their …show more content…
For example, if one tells a child not to touch something, he will automatically want to touch the object. Therefore, if the government takes away the right to reproduce then all humans will want to disobey the government. The crime rate will skyrocket because, as humans, everyone thinks it is their God-given right to reproduce, and their God-given right to speak their mind. There could be riots and marches everywhere. Also, the government would have no way of making sure all women were staying abstinent, or taking the right precautions during the time of their menstrual cycle. Any government would not be able to keep human beings from having sex. According to Brian Merchant, "the U.S. crime rate has hit its lowest level in about 40 years." Although the crime rate is still very high and could continue to rise if the population keeps increasing, population control could really contribute to the crime rate rising …show more content…
What will those governments do when the women are still getting pregnant? Yes, there is birth control, but the governments do not have the right to force every woman to be put on birth control. If they did, they still could not be positive that all women were consuming the birth control. Would the governments take the newborn baby away, or would the mother have to have an abortion? While it is true that abortions are not illegal, as human beings, everyone must realize the type of outrage that the rise in the number of abortions would cause. Also, if the governments only allow one child per family, the governments would soon have to make abortions legal. This would only tell humans that if the family already has one child it is fine to have intercourse and get pregnant as long as the baby is aborted. For example, in China abortions are skyrocketing because families are only allowed to have one child. As a result of the one child policy, those families want that child to be a male. Therefore, if the baby is female, the mother will ask for the baby to be aborted. According to Fox News, "The Chinese government 's tally states that there were 9.2 million abortions in the year of 2008." The legalization and the rising of abortions would just cause a new kind of conflict (Fox

Legal abortion today states that human life starts at birth, but when a baby is born, it grows and develops into a teenager, then a mature adult, until it finally becomes old and dies. Humans are made to develop and change, so a human becomes a human during conception.…

The discuss on licensing parents could be a mandatory decision for all people who want to raise children and probably supported by government for following reasons. Firstly, licensing parents who want to raise children may be good for population control because it may cause fewer children to be born and result in a reduction in overpopulation. Furthermore, control human population would be helpful in reducing the stress of limited resources. For example, over 50 million kids have died due to hunger and malnutrition in the last 30 years and approximate 10,000 starving child deaths a day (Istvan, 2014), which implies there may be fewer children dead from hunger if population could be controlled by parental licensing and thus we can provide better living standard to current and future people.…

Since 1760 BC, abortions have been sought-out internationally. There are a variety of reasons for them: because sexually abused women do not desire for guardianship of the child, females do not want their body to be unfit because of pregnancy, or it was a careless mistake that could have been prevented with birth control or any other prevention method. Many women have nonessential abortions. One quintessential example of this is in China; they kill fetuses if the sonogram proves the unborn child to be female. Abortions should be illegal because it is unjust and purposeless slaughter to the unborn human being.…

The overpopulation of the dog supply is even negatively affecting the dogs themselves. A novelist named Douglas Anthony Cooper predicts that “next year, 4 million dogs and cats will be killed in shelters” (Cooper). Sometimes there are even cats at puppy mills as part of the business, however the focus is still on the dogs and unfortunately the shelters have to put the dogs down when there is no room for them because of the overpopulating supply. Robyn F. Katz emphasizes “at that time, the dogs are either sold to other breeders, left on the side of the road, neglected, or even killed” (Katz). Dogs are affected when the puppy mills go out of business because they are already severely damaged from living in the puppy mills for a long time and a lot of them would not have anywhere to go because there are so many of them.…
