Disney World is one of the most popular places to go visit in the world. They welcome over 17 million people every single year. The reasons behind Disney World’s popularity are not as simple as they seem. Disney world is popular for thousands of reasons, some reasons are more interesting than others, but all the reasons make up the Disney World parks and their popularity. Some of the main reasons they are so popular are how clean and innocent it is there and how Disney World tells stories in everything, including the rides, shows, restaurants, and even the walking paths.
One of the reasons Disney World is so popular is because it is innocent and “sanitized” Carson (2004) states that:

In Animal Kingdom there is the Kilimanjaro Safari and “Disney proclaims, “This is no ordinary safari. We have a story to tell””(Budd and Kirsch, 2005, p. 212). Most theme parks either do not tell a story or they do not tell a story in an interesting enough way. Carowinds, a theme park in the Carolinas, is a theme park that does not tell stories instead, they sell trills. For me, I do love to go to Carowinds for the thrills but I only want to go there for a day and be done with it. On the other hand, Disney tells stories that I want to hear again and again alongside their thrills. Disney brings in movies and stories you already know, which is another reason why Disney is popular, they bring them to life in the parks. This story telling aspect that Disney has makes you want to go back again and again because Disney is constantly bringing about new stories and inventing ones that are already there. For me, this is what makes Disney so popular.
Ideology of Walt Disney World
The ideology behind Disney World is all Walt Disney’s ideology. Though it has changed over time the main ideology is still centered around Walt.
