I have noticed that school pride is a big deal at this school. You get that feeling as soon as you walk through the doors. There are Poplar Bluff Mules, which is their mascot, all throughout the school. Each hallway is labeled by the different grade levels on them. Above the hallway there are signs that say Poplar Bluff Mules class of 2022 or 2021. These are the years that these students will graduate from Poplar Bluff high school. The teachers even have found ways to incorporate the Mule with disciplinary actions .If the students are being too loud or are acting all wild and crazy, the teachers’ throws up a hand signal that they call “throwing up a silent mule.” This makes the students quiet down or calm down.
