Even though Edgar Allan Poe died a failure, his works have lived on hundreds of years after death. His works live in word of pop culture, and can be seen in tones of places. One example of a place where Poe's work is seen is the 1995 computer game "The Dark Eye." In the article, "Pop Culture's Undying Edgar Allan Poe Obsession," by an unknown author, states that this game contains some of Poe's stories like "The Tell-Tale Heart" and "The Cask of Amontillado", where you can play as the murder and the victim.
