Ponyboy Is A Hero Research Paper

A hero is a man or woman who is admired for his or her achievements. A hero is also a man or woman that shows bravery. I believe that each and every greaser is a hero. Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dally all of them are heros. Here are some reasons why I believe that Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dally are heros. I believe Ponyboy is a hero because he went into a burning church to save the children inside it. Which I think is pretty heroic because Ponyboy knew he could have died in there but he did it anyway. Ponyboy literally could have left and ran to a different place, but no he saw the fire and ran straight for the burning church. Which is a very heroic thing to do in my opinion. That is a reason why I think Ponyboy is a hero.

Ponyboy is at the risk of getting killed, arrested, and hurt while he is with Darry. Ponyboy should be put in the system because there he would have a less risk of getting jailed, lung cancer, fighting, and so much more. With Ponyboy going to the system he will have better health and he will have a lower chance of getting lung cancer. People would stay with Darry but that is not such a great idea. If he stays with him Ponyboy will be at bigger risk of getting jailed, getting in fights, and he won’t have as big of a chance of getting brain damage.…

To me a hero is a person who risked their lives or everything they to save someone or something. In my opinion, Johnny was the biggest hero in the novel The Outsiders, by S.E Hinton. Johnny was abused at home and then got jumped but that never stopped him from saving those little kids in the burning church. As the boys were on their way back to the church from Dairy Queen they saw that the church was up in flames, so they ran in to help little kids that were trapped. This just shows that how courageous Johnny is to save some little kids that he had never even met before.…
