Entry 7:Passage: “I took a good look at him. He was seventeen or so, but he was already old. Like Dallas was old. Cherry had said her friends were too cool to feel anything, and yet she could remember watching sunsets. Randy was supposed to be too cool to feel anything, and yet there was pain in his eyes.” pg 116

Situation: Randy asked to talk to Ponyboy and he said how he wasn’t going to fight in the rumble. He said that he is tired of all the fighting and killing and that is pointless. He says this because of him losing Bob. Now that he experienced the loss of someone close, he hates the fighting and he explains this to Ponyboy and Ponyboy can tell by his expression that he is being truthful. This happened in chapter 7.
