But I know now that he meant his brothers will be more cautious of his health. This will be good for everybody actually. Darry and Sodapop will learn to be more responsible and so will Ponyboy. Plus, the percent of kids that get neglected in foster care is pretty high as well. This percent can definitely be avoided. One reason being that he might actually become a better man from learning from the mistakes instead of getting punished like he would in foster care.
Overall, Ponyboy has very good reasons. A reason he did not list however was that he will get a better life. He wouldn't have to worry about getting neglected or abused. He wouldn't have to worry about housing or food. He wouldn't have to worry about Socs either. The only thing he would have to worry about is ever being taken away from the only family he has left, Darry and Sodapop. Following this statement, Ponyboy will continue to live with Darry and Sodapop. It seems very clear that this is the best for everyone. Especially for Ponyboy's sake.
Ending this meeting, Ponyboy will leave here and go home with his brothers and stay with them permanently until otherwise or until they fail to accomplish what they have said they shall do. If Darry and Sodapop make through with their promises, I see no reason to send Ponyboy to a place he doesn't deserve to go to. Henceforth, Ponyboy can go home, with his family. Meeting
