All throughout The Outsiders Ponyboy learns new ways of living and is put into situations that he is not used to. Although Ponyboy struggles to deal with his major problems in life he learns how to handle them and matures in the book. Ponyboy changes mentally, physically, and emotionally. By the end of The Outsiders Ponyboy experienced many new events that made him look at life much differently.
