Table 1 shows the quantitative results of the heart rate in BPM’s, while Figure 1 also displays the qualitative data of song tempo speed. Both show the correlation between song tempo with heart rate.
Discussion:
Both in Table 1 and Figure 1 the results showed the parallel increase and decrease in tempo of the music with the heart rate. Thus supporting the previously stated hypothesis that an increase in music tempo increased heart rate and the prediction that if the tempo of music was increased then the subjects heart rate would increase as well. An alternative hypothesis could be the null. Perhaps that the tempo did not have an effect on heart rate. This alternative hypothesis would not be supported since the results did show a significant effect and correlations between heart rate and variant music
