From the very beginning God set the pattern by creating a monogamous marriage relationship- one man and one woman, Adam and Eve (Genesis 1:27; 2:21-25). At the time of the Ark (Genesis 7:7), Noah took his one wife into the ark, all his son’s took one wife; God called Noah’s family righteous and pure. The New Testament is very clear that Christian should not have more than one wife at a time. Reason being, Paul’s teaching explains the covenant in 1 Corinthians 7:2, which states, “But because of immoralities, each man is to have his own wife, and each woman is to have her own husband. Furthermore, according to Hebrews 13:4, Marriages are to hold in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; fornicators and adulters God will judge.
