What is DACA? DACA is known as the Deferred Act of Childhood arrival that has helped many immigrants go to school, find a job, and live the American Dream. DACA (the Dream Act) should not be repealed because, even though some people believe that “dreamers” are a drain on the US economy, this act has helped over 800,000 people, everyone in this country deserves a chance at a good education whether they are a citizen or not, “dreamers” have lived their whole lives in this country, and repealing it would separate “dreamers” from their families and the only country they have ever known. DACA is a policy former President Obama brought into action June as of 2012. The purpose of this policy was to help certain undocumented young people who entered…

Recently, President Trump decided to repeal DACA or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival Program which was put into effect by former President Obama under an executive order. DACA resisted the deportation of illegal immigrants who entered the United States as children. President Trump justifies his decision because he believes that these “Dreamers” (term used for those under the protection of DACA) are a threat and burden on the United States economy. In addition, he states that the immigrants are taking all the jobs from the native-born American citizens. Moreover.…

Although Deferred Action for Children Arrivals (DACA) was removed in September, DACA still had some cons in the U.S. DACA can stimulate illegal immigration to come to the United States. Granting amnesty or citizenship those who came illegally to the United States encourages more illegal immigration to come, so they can follow the same path of getting granted citizenship. As well as in a time where terrorism is an ultimatum, especially to wear the border that isn’t protected enough can create a security risk. ‘’When something is given for nothing, it encourages others to follow the same path in an attempt to receive the same thing. Granting amnesty or a path to citizenship through the Dream Act could encourage more illegal border crossings.…

I knew America was a ruthless place when I heard the decision made on behalf of the DACA program. The Deferred Action for the Childhood Arrivals program had upheld about 800,000 young adult immigrants from deportation. Some of which they most likely didn’t know they were even migrants themselves until they were old enough to understand. In 2001, the DREAM Act was being formed so that these children can have a chance to receive citizenship. Years go by and nothing is done till Barack Obama is president.…

employment history too. Hence the first negative effect of DACA policy on illegal immigrants’ life is that this policy doesn’t give any assurance whether the information provided at the time of application would not be used to deport them if they failed to fulfill DACA policy requirements. The problem arises as Chishti and Hipsman point out in their article “Key Factors, Unresolved Issues in the New Deferred Action Program for Immigrant Youth will Determine its Success”, trust will be eroded if the applicant or applicant’s family member do no not meet the requirements placed in deportation. This will prevent many eligible applicants from applying to DACA policy in fear of putting their family in danger. On the other hand, hiring illegal immigrant is an illegal act.…

Americans who are following the political debates and current news have heard improbable ideas on how the candidates will supposedly fix the influx of illegal immigrants entering the country and how current immigration laws will be enforced or changed. Some candidates claim they believe in immigration reform and reestablishing the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Families, also known as the DREAM Act.
