I HAVE A DREAM Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr was born in 15 January 1929 at Atlanta, Georgia. He is an American black Baptist priest and leader of the American civil rights movement. He was opposed to violence and he supports racial equality in the worldwide. He was assassinated in 1968 and before this, he won Nobel Peace Prize. In addition, King was awarded the Freedom Award by former US President Jimmy Carter in 1966. In his honor, Martin Luther King Day began to be celebrated. He was very successful in school life. He made a speech in front of the Lincoln Memorial “I HAVE A DREAM”. King represented SCLC in this march. This march organizer was ‘Big Six’ group and King was in this group. Other members of the group, Ray Wilkins, NAACP; Whitney Young Jr. Urban League; Philip Randolph, Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters; John Lewis, SNCR; James Farmer and Congress of Racial Equality. US president John F. Kennedy did not want to be march Because he thought the march would affect political decisions especially Citizenship rights law. The Southern Christian Leadership Conference and Coordinating Council of Community Organizations gathered under the name of The Chicago Freedom Movement. During this period, it was made testing to black couple and white couple on real estate. This name is Steering application. When people want to get home, they were kept for some tests. The significance of this test to be based on race. The same income, education, the number of couples with children and other common features just because of their race were subjected to a different treatment.
