In the words of John F. Kennedy, “Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.” As my final days of high school are coming to a close, I’ve come to recognize, like President Kennedy, that leadership and learning go hand in hand. Learning shapes how you lead as a person, and I can attest to that through my senior year in the Montour Spartan Marching Band. Reflecting on the information from the article Leading Change: A Case Study of Leadership Practices from the Development of the Niagara County Community College I noticed that communication and collaboration was identified as a vital competency as it related to development and implementation of the project at Niagara County Community College (Catron, 2016). I demonstrated leadership at the waterfront festival by presenting the importance and safety of keeping water clean. I expressed this by keeping the students focused, letting them engage in hands on experiments, and answering all their questions to help them get a better understanding of what was happening. While there may be many other individuals parallel to me, I wholeheartedly believe that my enthusiasm for the field, willingness to succeed, and resourceful intellect make me an unassailable candidate for a place in your Masters of Speech-Language Pathology program at Nazareth College. At present, I am completing my Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences, with a minor in Psychology, at Edinboro University.…

With all different positions, regulations, and rules it is very much important to pay close attention while being taught how to play. It would have never been easy to learn the techniques by only watching a volleyball match or a game of softball repeatedly.…

The Capstone seminar and project course gave me a wide understanding of the whole MPA program, which include: teamwork, research, writing, analysis, decision making, problem-solving and oral presentations. Reflection Paper II Throughout my college experience here in the Carroll School of Management, group work and the ability to work well with others has been emphasized greatly. This makes sense, because in a professional environment, the ability to communicate, listen and contribute within a group leads to success and the achievement of goals. However, none have gone on as long as this project, making it a more realistic example of working on a team. Junior year of college is definitely a crazy time, as we are forced to balance heavy workloads with extracurriculars and recruiting.…
