When getting into politics, it is important to know your political party. There are so many category you could fit in, yet the influences of others could affect the decision of the political party. It could be friends, family, or simply what you see in the current and past presidents. The political party I chose to categorize myself in is being a Democrat. I believe in most of what Democrat candidates side by in the issues of the economy, social issues, the environment, healthcare, science, immigration, domestic policy, education, and electoral views.
There are many things I side with the Democrats on, yet I will describe the points I strongly believe in. For the economics issues, one of my belief is that the federal government should raises minimum wage based on the inflation each year. The government need to make it possible for people who get minimum wage to be able to survive in the present economic status. I took the Political Party Quiz and overall my political values were close to that of an Independent, and I am not too heavily opinionated on many issues, I’m open to hearing others’ views, so I like that this party is not very one-sided on the spectrum. Some key priorities and beliefs of the party include: fiscal responsibility, strong national defense, and bold social progression.…

The Democrats accept there ought to just be cuts for center and low pay families, however trust they ought to be higher on organizations and well off people. The Republicans accept there ought to be tax reductions for everybody, both partnerships and individuals of all wage levels. I would choose to go to a democrat party, because the democrats are the only party that is doing anything for the middle class and the working class, enforcing laws against white collar crime, crooked business practices, the poisoning of our water and air, selling of hazardous products, illegal immigration, and on and on. Democrats in general try to act on behalf of the average American. Republicans are complete hypocrites who pretend to be morally superior but in reality are usually worse in their own habits.…

Party Identification I am to believe that I am part of the Republican Party, as being raised in a republican based family. Just as I was, many other people are usually taught on their views based upon their parent’s views on political events. In the family I was raised in we didn’t really keep close eyes on politics and who we think should be the right person to do the job. They always just said that, “one vote can’t make much of a difference, especially when I don’t like who is running”.…

After looking through the Democratic and Republican parties beliefs, three issues that I found important to me are higher education, protecting and improving Medicaid and workers compensation. The Democratic view on higher education aligns with my thoughts because everyone should have the opportunity to attend college and not feel burdened down by all the money it takes to further their education. Until this past year, I was blindsided about how much college really cost but now, I after going through the college admission process and learning about the great scholarships and grants available I have realized how affordable college can be but students just think of how expensive it'll be and say college is not for me. I agree with the Democratic…
