Some say that political parties are declining in America and therefore are less effective, which is true, but we won’t see them disappear any time soon. Whether in local or federal level parties remain the key factor in which a person votes, the government is structured around the dynamics of the main political parties , but they are not without their weaknesses and because of that have become less efficacious in nature. The political process in the United States is a unique and complex structure originating from the basic concepts of social contracts which requires detailed analysis to fully understand how they fit into our government, starting with the nomination and election of candidates. Political parties have declined due to legislation passed involving ways parties can be funded, elected officials worrying about reelection, and while possibly seen as strength, not committing to a one side and appealing to broader range of people causing decentralization among the parties. Political parties have become corrupted by the money that PACS and Super PACS donate to help their campaigns. It gives those organizations who donated a larger amount of influence in policy instead of the voters. More and more citizens realize this and have switched to independent as a result. They also have candidates who worry about being the party’s’ nominee again instead of passing legislation that will help the general public. They also try to appeal to more people which is near impossible. The political spectrum might contain conservative and liberals, but in the end it’s one giant circle. On each end of the spectrum, there’s actually more similarities between two hardcore candidates than one might think. The parties start to merge in their ideologies creating less of division and causing one of the political parties’ biggest weakness which has lead to less efficacious actions than before. This doesn’t mean there’s nothing positive about parties. Political parties serve as an outlet for individual’s voice. It brings voter choices for elections and allows people to common together with a common goal, helping to create a better country to live
