of expressions or actions that can be perceived to exclude or marginalize or insult people who are
socially disadvantaged or discriminated against.” While preventing discrimination is the alleged
goal of the movement, I believe it is counterproductive and on the contrary instills intolerance
and ignorance.

The political correctness movement is full of hypocrisy as they are gain authority by
shaming those who do not share their opinions and bullying them into silence. In 2008, a young
middle school aged girl named Rachel was overheard by her bus driver when she told a fellow
student that she would never vote for President Barack Obama because of her anti-abortion and
anti-gay marriage beliefs. After Rachel had been dropped off, the bus driver was caught on camera
saying to the remaining students, "If you can't believe in tolerance toward one another, you don't
belong here. You belong in a church school." She went as far as to assume the child was a racist,
saying if she were to ever make racial remarks, “I would want to know about it, because I am going
to eat her alive," finishing her speech calling Rachael “a stupid little bigot." After dropping off the
rest of the children, the driver returned to the girl’s house, picked her up while she was home alone
and lectured her on her views. When Rachel’s parents learned of their daughters experience, they
