In the 1920s there was a big dramatic social and political change. For the first time in history there were more people living within the city and not out on a farm. The country wealth doubled between the 1920 and 1929, the growth made a lot of Americans go into a rich but unfamiliar “Consumer Society.” People from coast to coast listened to the same music, bought the same things, danced the same way even everyone was talking the same slang. A lot of the Americans were uncomfortable with the big change with the, urban, sometime racy culture. For most of the people the 1920s gave them more problems then celebration. However there was a small group of young people in the countries cities where the 1920s were roaring indeed.
