The service organization that I observed was the Policy Council Meeting. The Policy Council is a community organization that consists of agencies with common goals. The Policy Council includes Social Workers, counselors, nurses, educators, law enforcers, a judge and other agencies that provide assistances to teens and young adults in the community.
The purpose of the group is to discuss issues in the community that involves teens and young adults. One goal of the group participants is to determine the problems that teens and young adults in the community face, such as abuse and neglect in the home, bullying at school, failing in school and high school dropout.
