We should use it to help others who do not. The US should help the allies of the world from the injustice that spur from dictators and tyrants. When the United States steps down from our role as "International Police Officer" something bad happens. Causing WW1, WW2, We stepped down in the 1930s early 40s, letting the UK and France take the position. They kept drawing lines for Hitler, letting him get by with territorial gains. We wouldn't have stepped into the war if Japan had not of bombed us. We should step into Syria and continue our roles as world "policeman." Our job is to not only create a nation that is free but to further a world that is free as well. Free from dictators and communists so that someday the world will act in harmony not violence and disagreement. I read in an article “U.s. Should Lead, Not Police, Bush Says” Bush said, "it is the role of the United States to marshal its moral and material resources to promote a democratic peace."
In conclusion, If i were president I would continue to have America as the world's policeman. Moving past what happened in Iraq and Afghanistan, we can show them we’re not bullies like they think we are by being benevolent. Not everyone grows up wanting to be a cop. But who wants to live in a neighborhood, or a world, where there is no cop? Would
