Police Briefing on Shooting
The Anytown Police Department is investigating an incident that occurred at 10:00pm last evening of a police involved shooting of a young male. As of right now, officers are still securing the scene as we are finding our more information. The officer involved in the shooting has been placed on administrative leave, per standard department procedure. I understand the pain, hurt that has been caused, and I sincerely apologize to the victim’s family and the local community that have been affected by this. We anticipate there will be groups of protestors spread throughout the county. We will evaluate how we handle those protests by a case-to-case basis, but we are asking those protestors to remain peaceful. As long
