Police Interview Narrative

It was almost going to be ten clock in nine minutes, state patrol says in the radio “that they have found the body of the suspect”. My team members and I start to go towards where state patrol we evacuating the rooms. We’re heading to the third graders floor when we see bullet holes in the doors, and gun shells all over the ground. I felt like someone was stabling me in my heart, I can’t believe it. I felt tears coming down on my face. When stepping inside one class room, I saw the poor innocent children laying on the ground covered with blood. I can’t handle it anymore. We have finished with handing the kids to the parents and getting contact information from the families. The parents that didn’t get their kids were transported to the Newton police department. I couldn’t handle it anymore. I located sergeant Kathy, I asked if I could start to head out because I need to clear my mind before my shift later. Sergeant replied “don’t forget that the detectives will need to interview later” I said “yes, I know they will be working all day so I’ll get it done when I start my shift tonight”. When walking back to my vehicle, I could see how the community was going to suffer from this situation. I could see far in the distances people are hugging and crying together. I try now to cry until I’m in my truck. I hear someone shout my name. “Taylor wait” I look behind me and its Officer Johnson. He said “I was looking for you, but Sergeant said she let you leave”.
